Cold water swim at Dosthill Quarry for Tamworth Samaritans
Team Trent Valley joined Tamworth Samaritans volunteers for an early-summer cold water swim at Dosthill Quarry, raising funds for our 2026 charity partner.
Team Trent Valley swapped the boards and tin for trunks and floats this month, taking on a cold water swim at Dosthill Quarry in support of our 2026 charity partner, Tamworth Samaritans.
A great turnout from across the office and site teams, joined by a brilliant group of Tamworth Samaritans volunteers who came down to support the day.

The water was, as advertised, properly cold. The cause is the part that mattered. Every pound raised goes towards keeping the Tamworth branch open, training new volunteers, and keeping the phone lines staffed for anyone who needs to talk.
This is the second of several events we have planned across 2026. More coming through the year. If you would like to back us, the JustGiving page is live and every donation goes straight to Tamworth Samaritans.
Thanks to everyone who took part, donated, and shared the page. Especially to the volunteers who made the trip out to cheer us on.
If you or someone you know needs to talk, Samaritans are available 24/7 on 116 123 (free from any phone in the UK and Ireland) or by emailing jo@samaritans.org.
